During
20 years of making films I have worked on a vast number of projects
across most styles and genres of film, video & TV. I specialize
in what can be broadly described as documentary: video essays
that focus on a particluar subject through non-fiction film.
I shoot and edit all my own work and have worked as crew on other
productions such as the BBC's Timewatch series. I also make work
for clients, filming and editing material across a variety of
subjects.
My
interests in film and archaeology merged when I began making educational
videos for museums and the web. This developed into a sharper,
more artistically satisfying form of film/archaeology expression,
with short films such as Ephemera.
Recently
my work has become more social history orientated with a particular
focus on the people who lived through WWII: Shadows
is a feature length WWII documentary that I completed in 2008.
Video
work for clients
includes promotional films for local authorities, music videos,
schools concert filming, performing arts work and much more besides.

work.
